- 100% acetate. Acetate fabrics are made with spun filaments of cellulose taken from wood pulp. Classified as a chemical fiber textile or semi-synthetic, this fabric, and the triacetate fabrics that followed is created from one of the earliest man-made fibers in the United States. It is very silky and fine in texture and feeling.
- It’s important to give some extra special care to this delicate, silky fabric. This fabric has a luxurious feel and appearance, but it’s also very delicate and in its pure form it must be hand washed. Wash with Ecover delicate laundry liquid in cold water at a temperature of no more than 30 degrees. Take care not to twist or agitate the fabric. Do not tumble dry or dry clean. You can iron on a very cool heat on the inside of the garment. When it comes to stain removal, never use acetone or organic solvents as this can dissolve the fibres and cause irreversible damage to your garment.
