Browsing a Product Category
After choosing which category you wish to shop in you will be taken to a page listing all our garments in that category.Below are some helpful hints about how to use this page and all the information it provides you.
Available Colours
Many of our styles are available in a number of colours. Simply click on the relevant colour tab underneath an item to switch colour. The picture will immediately change to the colour you requested, making it easier and quicker for you to carry on browsing.
Viewing More Detail for a Specific Item
When browsing a category (e.g. dresses) simply click on any of the images or item names to go through to the detail page for that item. Once there, there is lots of additional imagery and descriptive information on the item you are interested in.
Zoom View
To get as close a view as possible, simply roll over the main image, on this detail page, with your mouse cursor and the screen will show you a really close zoom view. You are able to move around the image to see all the detail across the garment – fabric, trim, finish and stitching
Alternate Views
If you would like to see a garment from different angles, select from the collection of smaller alternative images below the main image. Once selected you may also zoom in on these to have a closer look.
Enlarged View
If you would like to see any of these images blown up to a full screen view, click on ‘View Larger Image’ just below the main image.
Building an Outfit and Substitutes
If you are looking for something to go with an item, to the right of the screen you will find a few things we think ‘Goes With’ the item you are viewing. You are also able to view suggestions for ‘Accessories’ or, if the size you are after is not available, the screen also provides some similar ‘Substitute’ options.
Changing to a Different Product Category
To make as much space as possible on these specific item pages, and so that we can make the image of the item as large as possible, the list of clothing categories normally shown to the left of the page will be hidden. The list is in fact still there – just click 'Show Menu' on the bar running down the left edge of the page and the category navigation will slide back out for you to use.
Other Features
Shopping Bag
If you want to quickly check what you have in your shopping bag, there is no need to leave the page you are on. Simply click on ‘Shopping Bag’ (located at the top right of every page on the website) to view a drop down summary of what is in your bag. This way you remain on your current page and may quickly resume browsing, having checked the contents of your bag.
Wish List
If you would like to put items aside as you browse the site, you may use the wish list function. This allows you to find them easily at any stage of your visit to the site. If you are already registered as a customer of Cabbages & Roses Online and have logged in, your wish list will be saved for your next visit.
If you are not registered, you are still able to benefit from using the wish list to store items during your visit, thereby keeping a handy reminder of items you like as you continue to browse. Unfortunately, if you are not registered and then do leave the site we won’t be able to save your list for you, as we won’t know who you are. It is very easy to register if you do wish to save your list – just follow the quick and easy instructions when you start using the wish list function.
If you run out of time and are not able to finish your shopping, we are able to save your bag until you next visit, allowing you to pick up where you left off. You will have to register as a customer on the site to do this, as this will allow us to recognise you on your return and link you back to your shopping bag.
My Account
And finally, if you hate long checkouts, we have tried really hard to make the process as simple and painless as possible - just three quick steps! This becomes even quicker if you set up a ‘My Account’ with us.
‘My Account’ allows you to store all your relevant addresses (e.g. work, home, friends etc), so you can quickly select a delivery or billing address each time you checkout, without having to enter all the detail. Every checkout page shows what you are buying, so you can change your mind right up to the last moment.
You may also use ‘My Account’ to check the progress of your orders.
